This was a final group project for my Advanced Interactive Multimedia class. We were given the challenge to create and build a music store experience in the span of 4 weeks. My group decided to do a 70's retro record store called Grooves. My role in this project was creating the branding, two vinyl covers and posters (TADD People and 5 Jacksons), deciding the video to be played within the store, creating the digital and printed advertisement, writing the marketing plan, designing the cardboard cutouts for the store (cashier and photo station) and creating the presentation. I also contributed by deciding the floor plan/layout of the store, the touchpoints within the store, the mood board and aesthetic of the store, and the membership card designs. Unfortunately, I had to miss out on the set up of applying the panels and cutting the vinyl’s and posters due to me being quarantined. Before I was quarantined, I helped peel the panels from the previous project and set up the beMatrix frames. After my quarantine I helped touch up the record vinyl’s, set up the record vinyl decorations and posters around the store as well as the disco ball decorations, record player, and design the checkout station while also cutting/applying the vinyl for that.
